Scale: 1:65 Length: 21" Height: 13" Width: 3" US $ 995.00 The Greek war of Independence (1821-1827) is known for the naval battle of Navarino, characterized by the attacks of Greek corsairs on the Turkish-Egyptian ships. Agile and of shallow draught, the Greek Galiots could easily take refuge in the small gulfs of the Aegean Islands and then, with rapid oar strokes, attack the Turkish ships. The model, taken from a nineteenth century engraving, is a faithful reproduction of an Aegean Galiot. Constructed with exotic woods.
