Typical of the vessels used over 2,000 years ago during the reign of King Sahure, the Egyptian Transport carried cedar and ebony from Lebanon to Egypt. Ship builders of that era did not use pegs (treenails) or metal fasteners, but relied on rope to keep their ships afloat. Keel, frames and deck were tightly tied together.
Constructed with exotic woods.
